DAY 1 Arrive Seoul

Met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.

Hotel: 4★ Fraser Place Central Seoul or similar (2 nights)

DAY 2 Seoul                           B

Drive to the DMZ (demilitarized zone). Visit the Imjingak Park, Freedom Bridge, The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, Dorasan Observatory, Dorasan Station and Unification Village. Tour ends at Itaewon shopping area.

DAY 3 Seoul Jeju Island                                       B

Fly to Jeju Island, the first UNESCO World Heritage stop. Visit the Yongduam Rock, a dragon shaped volcanic rock formed over two million years ago, Halla Arboretum, enjoy a horse riding performance –The Mapark Show and visit Yakchunsa Temple with over 30,000 Buddha statues.

DAY 4 Jeju Island                                                          B

Start your day with visits to Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls and Gyulimseong tangerine farm. Enjoy a cruise on the Seogwipo Pleasure Boat before heading to the Camellia Hill, home to over 6,000 caemllia trees of 500 different species.  Take a leisure walk along Yongmeori Shore, an ocean side promenade of soaring, weather-blown cliffs (if closed, visit Sangbanggulsa Cave).

DAY 5 Jeju Island Busan                                          B

After breakfast, transfer to Seopjikoji, one of Jeju’s mysterious sight. Continue to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Jeju Haenyeo Museum and if time permits Museum of Natural History. Transfer to the airport and fly to Busan.

DAY 6 Busan – Gyeongju – Daegu                               B

Drive to Gyeongju, ancient capital in the Silla Dynasty known as “the museum without walls”. Visit the magnificent Seokguram Grotto, home of serene stone Buddha of the eighth century; Bulguksa Temple, built during the most glorious period of the dynasty, Gyeongju National Museum and Cheomgseongdae Astronomical Observatory.

DAY 7 Daegu – Haeinsa Temple – Andong – Gangneung                B

Drive to the historic Haeinsa Temple, where approx. 82,000 of the Tripitaka Koreana woodblocks from Goryeo Dynasty (UNESCO World Cultural Heritge) are stored. The blocks record contains nearly the entire collection of Buddhist scriptures that existed in Asia. Continue to Andong, home of the intellectual aristocratic class of Korean society and Confucius scholars during Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). Visit the Andong Hahoe Village where beautifully preserved architecture from the Joseon Dynasty awaits you. Drive to Gangneung for overnight stay.

DAY 8 Gangneung  – Mt. Seoraksan – Seoul                                    B

Drive to the picturesque Seoraksan National Park designated a UNESCO Biosphere Preservation District and visit the ancient Sinheungsa Temple. Enjoy a cable car ride up to Gwongeumseong and visit the castle ruins located on the steep Dol Mountain of Mt. Seoraksan National Park area (if time permits). Drive back to Seoul.

Today’s sightseeing highlights include the Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace, The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, National Folk Museum, Korean Ginseng Center  and the Korean Folk Village, a huge village that has about 260 different types of house of each province.

DAY 10 Seoul Departure                                                            B

Transfer to the airport.
