ITINERARY

DAY 1 Arrive Bogota

Met on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Hotel: 4* Dann Norte or similar (3 nights)

DAY 2 Bogota                               B, L

Breakfast at Puerta Falsa, the most traditional and oldest restaurant in Colombia.  Visit the local Paloquemao market and famous Gold Museum with more than 53,000 pre-Columbian and goldsmith pieces. Walk through the main square of Bogota in Plaza de Bolívar and visit to the Quinta de Bolívar, currently house-museum and ex residence of the liberator Simon Bolivar. Finally, we will head towards Monserrate by cable car to enjoy unparalleled views over the city.

DAY 3 Bogota                       B, L

Drive to the town of Zipaquira to discover a cathedral inside a salt mine, the largest deposit of rock salt in the world, has been named as the First Colombian wonder in 2007.  Stop in a local handcrafts market before going back to your hotel.

DAY 4 Bogota – Armenia                                                     B

Transfer to airport for your flight to Armenia, a charming town in the coffee region. Met on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Hotel: 4* Hacienda Combia or similar (3 nights)

DAY 5 Armenia – Filandia – Salento                                B, L

Drive to the colorful Filandia town and stroll on its colonial streets leading to the viewpoint of Quindio. Visit one of the typical basketry workshop to learn a little bit about the local culture. Continue to the natural reserve of Cocora Valley to enjoy the beautiful landscape and fog´s forest, a place to admire the biodiversity of fauna and flora and the highest wax palm of the world. Return via the village of Salento with its charming colonial streets, craft workshops and the principal viewpoint.

DAY 6 Armenia                   B

Today’s highlight is the visit to la Morelia Hacienda (Coffee Farm) known as one of the best coffee producers in the region for its quality. You will learn all the coffee process and get to taste one of the best coffees in the world.

DAY 7  Armenia – Cartagena                      B

Transfer to airport for the flight to Cartagena. Met on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Hotel: 4* San Pedro Hotel & Spa or similar (3 nights)

DAY 8 Cartagena                           B

Explore the colourful streets of Cartagena, see the city walls and the emblematic squares and discover the history of conquests and the inquisition. Visit Castillo grande, Cartagena Bay, Cartagena de Indias Convention Center, Pegazos Pier, Clock Tower, Arsenal Street, Manga residential district and La India Catalina. We will visit the Castle of San Felipe; pass to the Fort of San Sebastian de Pastelillo, the Bolivar Park and stop at Zenú Gold Museum.

DAY 9 Cartagena         B,L

Transfer to Bodeguita pier to spend the day in one of the most charming Rosario coral Islands named Island of charm.

DAY 10 Depart Cartagena                                                  B

Transfer to airport for your onward flight.
