Canadians traveling on regular passports require a visa to enter India. (Traveller is advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements.)
Hot tropical weather with variations from region to region. Coolest weather lasts from December to February, with cool, fresh mornings and evenings and dry, sunny days. Really hot weather, when it is dry, dusty and unpleasant, is between March and May.
Lightweight clothing is worn all year. Rain jacket is essential during the rainy season.

Water used for drinking, brushing teeth or making ice should have first been boiled or otherwise sterilised. Bottled water is recommended.
230 V; You will need a voltage converter, and plug adapter in order to use Canadian appliances. We recommend getting a universal adapter and converter kit.
