ITINERARY
DAY 1 Arrive Delhi
Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Hotel: 4★ Vivanta Dwarka or similar (2 nights)
DAY 2 Delhi B, L
Begin a full-day city tour with a visit to Qutub Minar, Humayun’s tomb which later became the inspiration for Taj Mahal. Drive past India Gate on to Gurdwara and the Sikh Temple , where you can help out in the making of chappatis (Indian breads) and the stirring of vast pots of dal (lentil curry).
In Old Delhi you will visit the famous Red Fort and experience a rickshaw ride all the way to Asia’s biggest Spice market at Khari Baoli.
DAY 3 Delhi – Jaipur B, L
Drive to Jaipur (230 kms/5 hours). Enjoy an evening walking tour of the old markets.

DAY 4 Jaipur B, L
Drive to Amber Fort and enjoy an elephant ride up the fortress. En route photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Visit Wood Block printing textile emporium and a demonstration of the turban tying while having lunch. Afternoon visit of the “ Pink City” of Jaipur, an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards and Jantar Mantar, the largest stone & craft observatory in the world built in 1726.
DAY 5 Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra B, L
Morning you will be driven to Agra (230 kms/6 hrs) with enroute stop in Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son in late 1569. Lunch at Bharatpur.

DAY 6 Agra B, L
Today’s tour highlights a Sunrise tour of Taj Mahal, Agra Fort.Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays).
DAY 7 Agra – Jhansi – Khajuraho B, L
Morning transfer to Agra Cantt railway station to board train (Bhopal Shatabdi: 0802 / 1045 Hrs) for Jhansi. Upon arrival at Jhansi railway station you will be driven to Orchha. After lunch visit the Orchha Fort complex..

DAY 8 Khajuraho – Varanasi B, L
Visit the famous architectural marvels of Khajuraho, the famous Chandela Dynasty Temples. Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. Evening witness Ganga Aarti ceremony and rituals performed by the priest and pilgrims with thousands of lamps sailing along the ghats.

DAY 9 Varanasi B, L
Take a pre-dawn boat ride on the River Ganges past the funeral pyres of the Ghats which are believed to absolve one from all sins. Visit Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon and Sarnath Museum.

Transfer to the airport for your flight Home.
